I would say I hate the modern world, but I don't. It gives people immeasurable opportunity. What I hate is what people do with they choices they're given.
The modern world, in fact, helps to create more perfect people. More specifically perfect with more precise ways to prove it. Of course, our desires change to reflect that, so it gets harder as well to find exactly what it is we want. We compromise. and come out with just as many options as we had before this 'modernity', only this time our options are ranked within this set of options. And it's this degree, this ranking that makes all the difference.
